This website and the "lalalocker" luggage storage booking service (hereinafter, the "Service") are operated by Lalalocker Co., Ltd. (拉可有限公司) (hereinafter, the "Company"). By using the Service, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to all of the terms and conditions set forth herein.
Article 1 (Nature of the Service)
- The Service is an online booking platform for luggage storage: the Company publishes information about partner stores' storage spaces on its website for users to book, and the luggage storage service is provided by the partner stores.
- In accordance with Article 6, the Company provides compensation coverage for luggage stored by users through the Service.
Article 2 (Service Process)
- Users must complete an online booking in order to use the Service and to be entitled to the coverage provided under the Service.
- When depositing and retrieving luggage, the user shall present the retrieval voucher (the order confirmation email containing the order number; hereinafter, the "retrieval voucher") together with the user's own valid identification document, for verification by the partner store.
- The retrieval voucher may not be transferred to any third party. If the luggage is to be retrieved by another person on the user's behalf, that person's information must be provided at the time of booking, and such authorized person shall likewise present a valid identification document for verification upon retrieval.
- The Company shall bear no liability for compensation if any information provided in the order is false or inaccurate.
Article 3 (Storage Period and Fees)
- Fees shall be as published on the lalalocker website. Deposit and retrieval times are limited to the partner store's business hours.
- Any storage period of less than one day shall be counted as one full day. Days are counted with midnight (00:00) of each day as the boundary; storage that extends past midnight is counted as one additional day.
- If luggage is not retrieved by the registered retrieval time, fees for the excess period shall be calculated at the same rates as the storage fees. The user must place a supplementary booking on the lalalocker official website for the additional days, so as to pay the outstanding difference, before the luggage may be retrieved.
Article 4 (Cancellation and Refunds)
- At any time before the storage start time stated in the order, the user may cancel the order free of charge, and the Company will issue a full refund. Refunds will be made via the original payment method; the actual time at which the refund is credited depends on the processing of the respective payment institution.
- After the storage start time, the order may no longer be cancelled, and fees already paid are non-refundable.
- In special circumstances (such as the temporary closure of a partner store or a force majeure event), the user may contact the Company's customer service ([email protected]), and the Company will assist as appropriate in light of the actual circumstances.
Article 5 (Stored Items)
- For security reasons, the partner store has the right, when accepting luggage, to inspect its contents in the user's presence; if the user refuses such inspection, the partner store may refuse to provide the service.
- It is strictly prohibited to store perishable, flammable, or explosive items, dangerous goods, contraband, or any other items that violate the law or public order or are otherwise unsuitable for storage.
- Cash, jewelry, accessories, negotiable securities, and other high-value items are not accepted for storage; if the user nonetheless stores such items, they fall outside the scope of the Company's compensation coverage.
Article 6 (Compensation Coverage)
- If luggage stored by a user in accordance with these Terms is damaged or lost as a result of an accident, the Company shall be liable for compensation based on the current value of the luggage, up to a maximum of NT$10,000 per luggage item. This coverage is a compensation commitment provided voluntarily by the Company and is not an insurance product.
- The user shall notify the Company immediately upon discovering that luggage has been damaged or lost, and shall provide such supporting documentation as the Company may request (such as a police report, proof of purchase, or other documents sufficient to establish the value of the items) for the Company's review.
- The Company shall bear no liability for compensation in any of the following circumstances:
- Where the information provided in the order is false or inaccurate.
- Where the loss or leakage is caused by inadequate packing of the luggage itself.
- Where the packaging is intact but the contents are missing or inconsistent, and it cannot be proven that this resulted from an accident within the scope of compensation under this Article.
- Loss of weight due to the inherent nature of the luggage, thermal expansion, cold contraction, decay, fermentation, mold, rust, discoloration, odor, spontaneous combustion, or damage caused by insects or rodents.
- Intentional acts attributable to the user.
- Items listed in Article 5, Paragraphs 2 and 3 that may not be stored or that are excluded from coverage.
- Typhoon, earthquake, flood, or other force majeure events.
- War (whether declared or not), warlike acts, rebellion, civil war, forcible occupation or requisition, or military training or exercises.
- Strikes, riots, or civil commotion.
- Nuclear reaction, nuclear radiation, or radioactive contamination.
- Where the luggage is retrieved by another person using a forged or altered retrieval voucher.
- Detention or destruction pursuant to quarantine or customs regulations, or confiscation or expropriation by a government authority.
- Luggage shall be handed over in person at both deposit and retrieval. Upon delivery of the luggage to the user or the user's designated authorized person, the Company's liability for compensation is extinguished.
- Nothing in this Article affects any liability that, under applicable law, may not be excluded or limited in advance.
Article 7 (Handling of Unretrieved Luggage)
- If the user fails to retrieve luggage by the due time, then in addition to the fees charged under Article 3, the Company and the partner store will assist in handling the matter as circumstances require (including, without limitation, notifying the user and relocating the luggage to an appropriate place for safekeeping); the necessary expenses so incurred (including transportation and safekeeping costs) shall be borne by the user.
- If, after the Company has given notice via the contact information provided by the user, the luggage remains unretrieved beyond a reasonable period, the Company may dispose of the luggage in accordance with applicable laws.
Article 8 (Amendment of these Terms)
- The Company may amend these Terms at any time; the amended Terms take effect upon publication on this website. For material changes affecting users' rights and interests, the Company will give notice by appropriate means, such as an announcement on the website or by email.
- If the user continues to use the Service after an amendment, the user is deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
Article 9 (Miscellaneous)
- Any matters not provided for in these Terms shall be resolved by the parties through consultation in accordance with the principle of good faith and commercial practice, and shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
- For any litigation arising in connection with these Terms, except where otherwise required by mandatory provisions of law, the parties agree to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.
- In the event of any discrepancy between the different language versions of these Terms, the Chinese version shall prevail.
- The collection, processing, and use of personal data shall be governed by the "Privacy Policy" of this website.
