Night markets play a big part of Thailand’s vibrant nightlife . It offers nocturnal fun-seekers somewhere to shop , eat and chill at a really low price . It’s a utopia for entertainment and a heaven for bargainers . In this article , I compiled the top 5 night markets in Bangkok , based on my personal experience .

1 . Asiatique The Riverfront 

Located by Chao Phraya River , Asiatique is undoubtedly one of the trendiest night bazaars in Bangkok . It is divided into four districts: The Waterfront District , The Factory , Charoenkrung District and Town Square , each with something to offer . Housed with restaurants and boutiques , spending a whole evening here is no problem . If that’s not enough , they also have a huge ferris wheel , where you can catch a glance of the city’s shimmering night view . Shows such as Calypso Cabaret’s ladyboy dance and Muay Thai’s martial art performance are also available . If you’re seeking for some great entertainment at night , Asiatique The Riverfront is it !

2 . Talad Neon Night Market

Talad Neon Night Market sits in the heart of Bangkok, near Central World Mall .  I went here during my last visit to Thailand , and I was deeply impressed on how well cleaned , neatly organized this place was . The glittering light adornments and rows of colorful tent also caught my eye when I entered this amazing wonderland . Full with tons of savory snacks , arcade games , cheap clothes and customizable goods , this is where to shop till you drop ! Prices are always negotiable , so be sure to get yourself a nice bargain at the Talad Neon Night Market .

3 . Chatuchak Weekend Market

Explore Chatuchak , as it is one of the most famous weekend bazaars in Bangkok . It’s a night market on Fridays and a day market on weekends . This 35-acre area is home to more than 8,000 stalls , offering a wide collection of merchandises from handcrafts to antiques — dream of anything and buy it here at a reasonable price . To make your shopping experience even more convenient , the place is divided into 27 alleyways , depending on the category of goods . Thoughtfully organized , isn’t it ? Survival Tip : Since it is easy to spend hours shopping at Chatuchak , be sure to wear comfortable shoes . The physical pain can torture you to death if you come here in heels ( which was something my friend did and she completely regretted it ) .

4 . Artbox

Decorated with plenty of light installations , Artbox is a star that nestles everywhere , anywhere . It is a new pop-up market that sells creative artwork , local designs , vintage clothing , handmade accessories and unique gadgets . They also have food trucks inside , serving tasty eats like hamburgers , hotdogs , seafood plates and cocktails . What’s better is they provide a field area for people to rest, picnic and listen to live music . Check out this hipster-vibe hotspot whenever you visit Bangkok !

5 . Talad Rod Fai Train Market

The Talad Rod Fai Train Market situates in the suburbs of Bangkok , behind the Seacon Square Shopping Mall . It is split into three sections : Market Zone , Warehouse Zone and Rod’s Antiques .
