How an amazing trip it was in Okinawa! 11 friends who were just 20. We went on the road and faced every challenge together. Let’s see what would go on.
Ojima island is a southern island extending from main land Okinawa. Enjoy the slow-pace life here, eat tempura, and chase clear spray.
First sight here was… CATS!!!

The weather was unfriendly. That being said, I still wanted to find something new. Thus, Joyce and I decided to keep going.
Belief center, Kannondori.

Finally, we arrived at the beautiful rocky coast where the famous 龍宮神 rock stands.

Back to the parking lot, some local kids was going sea jumping in the ocean. Btw, parking lot here was for free.
Tired children grabbed something at the shop beside the ocean with wet swimming suit on their body.
Nakamoto Sengyo Tempura Shop. JPY 75/ each. It’s not fresh from the oven but still tasty.
Imaiyu market. At the moment the door opened, I felt like my nose drink a sip of sea water. It’s really a fresh fish market.
Look at the fish. So fresh that I thought it was fished just now.
Sashimi seemed pretty fresh and the price was cute.
At the end of Ojima Island, I found this naughty black hiding under the cola bench sleeping.
After visiting Ojima Island, we arrived at Kokusai Dori. Where’s my Supreme cash cannon?
There was no parking lot for free here, so we looked around and found this place. The price was reasonable and the site was convenient to us. Across from JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Naha, JPY 250/ per hour.
Things sold here were variable.
It seemed like a Sashimi shop but I didn’t see any Sashimi here. Guess what they sold?
The answer was Umibudo. Did you get it? I got a sample. It tasted like a sip of sea water and the texture was like fish eggs. Japanese eat Umibudo with Bonito soy sauce. I loved it but it was too expensive. JPY 1000-2000/ each box.
Then, I targeted my Supreme cash cannon toward Daikoku Corporation. An hour later…
As a shopaholic, Japan is HEAVEN! Actually, things in the two plastic bags collected souvenirs from everyone. Price over JPY 5000 can get tax refund for 8%. Also, one can download the coupons online to get more discount.
I bought this Straightening and Curling Hair Iron of SALONIA in DONKI. DONKI also has coupons online. It’s cheaper than that in Taiwan for about NTD 700.
I felt tired to keep going. We needed energy. Boys found this 放題 hot pot Cookiya. When you see “放題 ” in Japan, it means all you can eat.
JPY 990 for chicken and pork all you can eat. If one pay JPY 490 in addition, rice and vegetable are also all-you-can-eat.
Wow! Look at the meal slice. How did they cut it? Thin like a piece of paper. Girls! 37 plates, oh right?
After dinner, we kept hanging around till 10 o’clock. Time to go home.

Now I’ll tell you a horrible story about our vacation rental: When we were still at Kokusai Dori, we keyed in the name of our rental gave by the owner; however, what we got was an area but not a site. So we called for help. Then, we got a screenshot from the owner. We song happily in the car. Unfortunately, when we arrived there, the site in front of us was a ruin. You know the F word came out from 11 mouths . Were we cheated by the owner? It was 12 o’clock then. Where would we find another hotel? Brave boys checked the mail from the owner carefully. They looked at 13 piece of photos and drove slowly in the lightless alleys. Half an hour later, we found it!!!! OMG, tear drops were around my eyes.
However, this vacation rental was too beautiful to criticize, except for the f**king bad site ha ha.

Good morning. It was a clear day today.
Clear day with two pieces of fresh bread from the oven which was offered by the owner.
Ok we were done. Let’s head over. It’s interesting that the widows on the car in Japan are transparent which are different from those in Taiwan. As a result, Mei gave a signal to the other people on Xin’s car… (Did you notice Xin also gave it back?)
The first station today was Kouri Island. It’s larger than Ojima Island. In the picture is the Kouri Tower. One can buy ticket to the observatory, but I didn’t go inside because of lack of time.

We chased spray at the beach. The bridge connects Kouri Island and main land Okinawa.

Keep going, you’ll arrive the high terrace. Lock your love here, and throw the key into the beautiful ocean with your lover.

Ocean on Kouri Island. Oops! Is that dark cloud?
We would visit Love Rock on Kouri Island.
I was so thirty, so I bought it from the vending machine there. I suggest people can buy drink or water in convenience store, or drink from vending machine is usually more expensive. About JPY 160.
This is the Love Rock. Two cute boy swam in the ocean. However, the way here wasn’t suitable for the old.
We didn’t spend much time to hang around here. Then, we found this store online. I’m not sure if its name was Uni don on Google Map. They got high rate online and I thought it was really tasty. At least my dish was tasty.
Open-air seat zone could enjoy the sea scene.
They also adopted vending machine as the way to pay.
It made me feel heart-warm inside the store.
My Taco Rice which is Taco without tortilla. I love it because I love Taco bell in the USA, but they taste different because it’s Chinese flavor. They cooked ground pork with soy sauce. With cheese, lettuce, and tomato, it is Taco Rice. Don’t forget to put some Tabasco.
Do you dare to try the bitter gourd from Okinawa? Sure don’t, but I had it all. Actually… not that bad.
Then, we drove to the next station, Ocean Expo Park.
Don’t miss the dolphin show outdoor. It’s for free. Go down the long escalator and turn left.
You’ll see this open-air tent where is the stage of dolphin show. If you want to watch it more clearly, arrive there 15 mins earlier than the beginning time of the show.
So lucky that I sit at the left side. This dolphin gave us a surprise! It stayed in this posture for a while to give audiences time to take a snapshot.
After the excellent show, we went up floor and went into here to buy tickets.
The ticket price was the highest one in this days, but you’ll know it when you get inside.
The first impression was the huge aquarium.
In this zone, you can touch starfish and sea cucumber. Sea cucumber had pillow-like touch. Last time I visited Penghu in Taiwan, I saw sea cucumber vomited its organ. Sounds yukky, right? That being said, the local told me that’s useful when one injures in the sea. Its organ is bacteria free, so spreading it on wound could protect it.
No matter where were you from, everyone shouted excitedly, “Dory, where is Dory?”
The fish was ugly, but cute.
I found fish separated in some group, like this was yellow fish group.
And this was handsome tropical fish group.
And this was… loner fish?
It seemed like NIKE sneakers.
In addition to Dory, there was Nimo here.
I had seen this kind of fish in Hokkaido.
Look at our money! Oh… I mean it was incredible! This aquarium was quite gigantic like the screen of 3D-movie. It got a Guinness World Records by the size.
Inside the aquarium, there were many kind of unique creatures. Look at the ray. How huge was it comparing with those fish beside it.
Look at the whale shark.
Do you see the ray at the corner of the right side? Imagine how big the whale shark was!
There were two whale sharks inside. The information board showed how long they were. Oh… the male one was single for 13 years.
Only thick glass can protect our safety. It’s 603mm thick.
Everyone was tired, but I could stand it, so I hung around myself.
Shark was looking at me.
I touched shark’s skin and teeth. Skin was rough and teeth were sharp.
This was my most favorite space. Lie on the ground and look up to the sky. Creatures swam slowly above me.
I like this funny fish. Don’t you think it seemed like doubting me?
Valuable, right? Ocean Expo Park was rich of unique creatures. Then, we finished our schedule today. We would BBQ tonight at our rental. For starters, we need to go to a supermarket.
A-coop was near our rental.
Although it was located at countryside, you could find everything here.
Oops… it was raining. I hoped we could still BBQ.
Fortunately, the rain didn’t keep a long time. Let’s BBQ! The one in green clothes was our chef tonight. Moreover, this trip was arranged by him.
