THSR Station Map
Unlike the Taiwan Railways ( a.k.a. trains ) , the THSR system only goes through the west coast of Taiwan . That is , if you’re planning on a sight-seeing trip to Hualien , HSR isn’t an option . The map below shows all the 12 HSR operational stations ( Nangang , Taipei , Banqiao , Taoyuan , Hsinchu , Miaoli , Taichung , Changhua , Yunlin , Chiayi , Tainan , Zuoying ) and the 1 pending station ( Kaohsiung ) .
Ticket Types
- Reserved Seats – Standard Class : Comfortable 180 degree rotatable seating
- Reserved Seats – Business Class : Compared to the standard class , it has an additional 110V electric power socket , music system and free snacks .
- Non-Reserved Seats : Only available in standard class .

3. Convenience Stores
- Partnering convenience stores include : 7-ELEVEN , FamilyMart , Hi-Life , OK Mart
- Buy through the ticketing machine . In the store you’ll find something similar to the one below . Follow the steps shown on the screen . Take the payment slip to the counter and pay within 10 minutes .
