One of the most important things is to take a moment to sit down and unwind every once in a while. This may consist of you unplugging and taking yoga classes or it may be sitting in the grass reading a book. There are a million ways to give yourself some inner balance! What really counts is giving yourself that time of calm to rebuild new energy and take on the next challenges. No one goes through life with a constant high energy level. So allow yourself to be human and build your life around that. Following that mantra there’s no way you won’t succeed! … . . #grandpalace #worldtravel #solotravel #worldtravelpics #breakfastlover #travelbug #travelislife #exploremore #globetrotters #exploretocreate #backpackers #dametraveler #femmetravel #girlsthatwander #girlsthattravel #travelgirl #happygirls #beautifuldestinations #amazingplaces #wonderful_places #citytrip #bangkokthailand #temple #bangkoktemple

Wat Phra Kaew , commonly known as “ The Temple of The Emerald Buddha “ , was established in 1782 by King Rama I . This sacred buddhist shrine is decorated with gold and colorful mosaics , in which sits the Emerald Buddha , carved out of jade .

Other than the main temple , this area consists of many other buildings , such as the golden stupa Phra Siratana Chedi , the buddhist library Phra Mondop , The Royal Pantheon , etc. all covered in glittering gold . This stunning place serves as a spiritual , religious and cultural hub to many local Thais , so it’s definitely worth a visit .

Since it’s in the same zone as The Grand Palace , dressing rules are the same .

Wat Pho , a.k.a. the Temple of Reclining Buddha , is classed as the highest grade of the first-class royal temples . It is renowned for its 46-meter-long reclining Buddha , a major icon in buddhist art which represents the passing of the Buddha into Nirvana after death . Other structures in Wat Pho include the Phra Ubosot , Phra Mondop , Phra Rablang , Sala Rai and much more . Something cool to learn is that it’s also regarded as the origin of Thai massage . A Thai medicine school was established here in 1955 to teach students about Thai pharmacy , Thai medical practice , Thai midwifery and Thai massage . Therefore , if you’re interested in either history or Thai therapy , complete your journey by visiting Wat Pho .

Wat Arun , one of the most popular historical landmarks in Bangkok , situates on the banks of Chao Phraya . The name Wat Arun , translated directly as “ Temple of Dawn ” was gained from god Aruna , personified as the glow of the rising sun . The most famous site in this ancient temple complex is the 80 meter prang , with a steep stairway that leads up to a terrace . Its spectacular designs are made with Chinese porcelain and pieces of colored glass , forming beautiful patterns . At night, it lights up and lets out an entirely different vibe from the day , with every part of the temple sparkling in the dark . Take a ferry across Chao Phraya River and explore the rich heritage of Wat Arun !

Open Hours : Daily , 8 : 30 – 17 : 30

Erawan Shrine is a place that gathers worshippers from all around the world , due to its high effectiveness . Here, people pray to Than Tao Mahaprom , a Brahma god that has four sides . Each side has a face , respectively symbolizing kindness , mercy , sympathy and impartiality . In order to show appreciation , prayers donate floral garlands , fruits and teakwood elephants .
