Luggage Allowance of Virgin Altlantic Airlines

        How heavy can your luggage on Virgin Atlantic be? What is the limitation of size of luggage on Virgin Atlantic? What if the weight is over the allowance? Check this article and you’ll have idea about all the questions.

Luggage Rules of Virgin Altlantic:

Checked Luggage:

1. For passengers who booked Economy Light, the tickets don’t include checked luggage but only cabin luggage.
2. On some journeys, your ticket will include more than the standard baggage allowance:

UK or US – India

UK or US – Lagos

US – Johannesburg

Passengers of Economy Class can bring 2 pieces of luggage and Premium for 3 pieces. However, Upper Class still apply the original allowance.

Cabin Luggage:

1. Passengers who bring their children or infants together can bring their pushchairs or car seats boarding for free.
2. Small bag or laptop is allowed to go on board but should pack into your personal cabin luggage for Economy Class and Premium Economy Class.

Special Cases:

1.Sport Equipment

Sport equipment is seen as checked luggage, and should not exceed the limitation of 190 x 75 x 65cm and weigh over 23kg. If it exceed the limitation, it will be seen as special cargo.

2.Musical Instrument

Small musical instruments can be bring into cabin. You should buy it an extra seat, and its center of mass should not exceed 30 cm and weigh over 75kg. If it exceeds the limitation, it can only be a checked luggage.

3.Extra Luggage or Overloaded luggage

Virgin Atlantic has clear rule to extra luggage and overloaded luggage. Each extra luggage is charged about ₤140, while each overloaded luggage is charged about  ₤65.
