- Routes and Operation Time
There are 11 lines in the Hong Kong MTR system. Tsuen Wan Line is the most important one. There are several interchange station on this line. You can also get to several must-go spots, such as Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui, by taking Tsuen Wan Line.
If you want to directly get to the center of Hong Kong from the airport, Hong Kong Airport Express will be your best choice. It only takes you 24 minutes to get to HongKong Station. Moreover, there are free shuttle buses at Kowloon and Hong Kong Station that can take you to the hotel you live in.
The departure time of the first and last train is different from line to line. Most of the lines operate from 06:00 to 00:00.
- Fee
Travelers are recommended to use Hong Kong MTR One day Pass. It costs HKD$ 65. You can purchase one at Customer Service Centres of Airport Express and MTR stations (except Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau, Racecourse Stations, and Light Rail Customer Service Centres) or here.
You may also use the Hong Kong Octopus Card(NT$50 for a new card and it’s refundable). You can buy one at the information desk in every station (besides the Racecourse Station) or here.
